Working at Meinl

Meinl company is a family business with short decision-making processes and a very good, family-oriented work atmosphere. Most positions revolve around a highly dynamic, international context that challenges our staff. Learning, understanding and achieving more every day is imperative to a long future as a company, and this is a task we would like to share together with you. As a modern manufacturer and distributor, we offer many interesting fields that can benefit from a broad scope of skills.

Shelly Supper-ZhouR&D-Team for MEINL Sonic Energy

I studied business administration in college in China and worked as a global export clerk at MEINL in Germany from 2012 until my parental leave in 2017.
From 2019 to 2020, my responsibilities were export demand determination and ordering for MEINL USA and additionally I was responsible for business contacts to China.
I am now on the R&D team for MEINL Sonic Energy.

MEINL has become a new, collegial home away from home, which of course I miss sometimes - the more the almost daily contacts in native language help. I particularly like the fact that I can use my native language as well as my learned English and German.

Johannes Oelfke Senior Purchasing Manager

Hard to believe, already in the 40th year at Meinl!

When I saw an advertisement by Roland Meinl Musikinstrumente in our school newspaper of the Realschule in Neustadt/Aisch in the spring of 1980 for an apprenticeship as a wholesale and foreign trade employee, I woke up and thought that this would certainly be more interesting than an apprenticeship as an office clerk in a bed mattress factory, for which I had already been accepted.

At the age of 13 I started to play guitar and drums and I am already music addicted as far as I can remember. When I was a child, I used to put aluminium foil on the round detergent drums to build something similar to a drum set. The small concert guitar of my grandmother with only four strings had to be destroyed as well...

And I got my chance!  (and the possibility to get equipment cheaper...)

If I let the almost 40 years here at Meinl pass me by mentally, it's amazing how fast and intensively the working and musician's life has changed, especially due to the technical development. For many years I was allowed to work with the founder of the company and then senior boss Roland Meinl and was able to learn a lot during this time. Reinhold Meinl, then junior and now senior manager, has always challenged and supported me and entrusted me with responsible activities and responsibilities.  Together with my colleague Wolfgang Wunder I was able to work on the development of a machine production for professional (hammered) cymbals in the 80s and was thus in contact with many musicians.  The many conversations and live concerts were already great and family, friends and acquaintances were often envious when I told them about it.  At that time the company was much smaller and had correspondingly fewer employees, so at the beginning of the 90s I became more involved in the purchasing and sales organisation. Finally I ended up in purchasing and have been working for it for many years.  The cooperation with our valued suppliers, also the many trips to factory visits and trade fairs in partly distant countries, have enriched and shaped me.

Not everything was always easy, but always interesting and above all never boring.

The entire Meinl family has always been and still is loyal, understanding and supportive, even when life is not running smoothly...

...and that is why I still enjoy working here, even now with Alexander Meinl in the third generation.  Hopefully a few more years in the circle of my dear colleagues will remain...

Mohamed-Amine Ben Rejeb Assistant Production Manager

My name is Mohamed Amine, I am from Tunisia and I have been working for Meinl since December 2012. There I was able to gain a lot of experience in order processing, invoicing and the entire product range of Meinl.

After gaining insights into various areas of pool production, I am now working as an assistant to the production management, where my main tasks include the recording and control of production orders. Furthermore, I am responsible for the coordination of the production processes and take care, among other things, of the ordering of consumables as well as the checking of the stock.

Since 2019 I am also the safety officer of the production. At Meinl, I appreciate the familiar atmosphere of the company but also the open and friendly cooperation with colleagues and customers worldwide.
